In a few weeks ago when India lost against Australia, Sanjay Manjrekar comments harsh statements over Ravindra Jadeja’s presence in the Indian Team. Former Indian Batsman Manjrekar again triggers Jadeja over his selection in the playing XI without having that immense ability as an all rounder. He commented after the loss of Indian team from the first ODI against Australia. Talking about the loopholes which eventually made India to lose, Sanjay Manjrekar took the example of Ravindra Jadeja and quoted he doesn’t like players who easily make their place into playing XI without having prominent batting nor bowling.
“My selection and thoughts are based on a principle that I have learnt over the years: if you have specialists who can walk in based on one discipline, you fill your team with those players,” stated by Sanjay Manjrekar to The Hindu.
“I don’t have a problem with Jadeja; I have a problem with his kind of cricketers in white ball cricket. Even Hardik Pandya will not be in my team. They add illusionary value to the team. Of course, I have always rated Jadeja highly in the Test format,” said by Sanjay Manjrekar.
This was not the first time Sanjay Manjrekar had trigged Ravindra Jadeja, he always seems to be target Jadeja with his controversial statements. Even during the World Cup 2019, Manjrekar commented Jadeja as ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer. Afterwards Jadeja replied in a savage way to stop his ‘verbal diarrhoea’.
While this time the statement quoted by Sanjay Manjrekar, Jadeja replied by posting his photo and wrote a caption: “Stay Calm”.
