Tim Southee and Trent Boult along with Kyle Jamieson were the chief architect of the facile win. The troika completely meltdown India’s solid batting order to set up a memorable series victory against World’s No.1 Test side.

Tim Southee picked up as many as 14 wickets while Trent Boult accounted for 11 dismissals across 4 innings. Boult, the left arm seamer, did not participate in the limited-overs series against India due to injury but certainly made an impact in the Test Series with his performance.

In a funny moment, though, Trent Boult was seen giving an autograph on ‘onion’ during the match. Certainly, the Onion have also surprised Trent Boult, but as a kind gesture the pacer fulfilled the wish of the enthusiastic fan.

After the match, New Zealand Captain Kane Williamson also hailed the left-armer for his performance as he said, “He’s a fantastic bowler and when the ball is moving he’s a great exponent of putting it in the right area from that left-arm angle and getting that movement.

Williamson also praised the skills of Trent Boult as the captain added, “Whether that’s in the nets or it’s out in the middle. He’s very challenging to face. I thought the plans we looked to adapt and how he came around the wicket and changed that angle was brilliant even when perhaps it felt like the pace of the wicket. Yeah look he was outstanding in these two games. In fact, I think a lot of his strengths was when he came back after his initial spell with a slightly older ball and brought a lot of intensity and that’s something we are used to seeing from Trent. But it was nice after a period of time that he brought that back for us.
