Aakash Chopra, former Indian Test Opener and Commentator, has picked his best T20 XI comprising one player from each international team in a post on Facebook. The former Indian opener has followed the trend of announcing playing XI’s with a certain condition to make the selection interesting.

Aakash Chopra follows the ICC-trend:

“Recently I spotted something interesting that the ICC did. They asked fans to pick the best T20I XI in the world – with a condition of course! You can pick ONLY 1 PLAYER from each country. Really challenging exercise actually. So I thought I’d share my team with you all. Have a go as well, and share your team in the comments below. Remember the CONDITION very carefully guys!” Aakash Chopra wrote on Facebook.

In Chopra’s IPL XI, the left and Right hand pair of the fiery Australian opener David Warner and the English Wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler will form the opening pair.

At number 3, New Zealand’s T20 stalwart, Colin Munro makes the cut in the legends XI. At no. 4, in walks talented Pakistani batsman Babar Azam , who is well known for his remarkable track record in this format of the game.

At Number 5 slots in AB de Villiers, former South Africa cricketer and most devastating batsman when in his zone. Apart from his T20 exploits, the South-African also has the record of fastest century in ODI cricket.

For the all-rounder’s slot at No.6 and 7, Chopra has gone with the all-round duo of Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib-Al-Hasan and the big hitting West-Indian Andre Russell.

While the spin duo of Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane provides the 8 overs of top-class spin bowling in Chopra’s XI. The fast bowling duo of Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah will make the pace attack.

Aakash Chopra, is one of the finest thinkers of the game and is well known for his deep thinking and analysing prowess. “People must be thinking if I haven’t picked Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the top four then where will I place them, unfortunately I can’t find a place for them as I have to pick only one Indian,” Aakash also clarified his stance on omitting Rohit and Virat.
