Aakash Chopra picks Top six Yorker kings of all-time

Former Indian Opener and TV commentator, Aakash Chopra has picked top six all time Yorker Kings cricket has witnessed till now. While Yorker is one of the deadliest weapon in the armour of an international bowler, it also requires a great deal of control and expertise in crunch situations.

Chopra has picked English all-rounder Andrew Flintoff at the sixth spot. The fast-bowling all-rounder from England was master of reverse-swinging Yorkers in his hey days. For the sixth spot, Flintoff even pipped the likes of ZaheerKhan, Brett Lee to make the list.

At No. 5 comes in, Australia’s Mitchell Starc. The speedster from Australia can deliver deadly Yorkers at 150 clicks with ease. The swing and reverse-swing that Starc generates also makes him one of the deadliest bowlers of modern game.

At No. 4, there is none other than India’s pace-bowling spearhead JaspritBumrah. In Chopra’s opinion Bumrah, though, still young in his career has done enough to develope himself into one of the finest bowlers of all time. With his Lion like guile, accuracy and speed, he can dismantle you anytime you became a little carefree as a batsman.

The next two spots belong to, the finest swing bowling pair of all time – Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. Chopra has placed Waqar Younis at No.3 for his reverse-swinging toe-crushers that the Pakistani was able to deliver at any stage of the game. Waqar Younis was always a threat with the old reverse swinging ball- for his ability to bamboozle even the best batsman.

His partner in crime, Wasim Akram, on the other hand, was equally potent bowler with both the new and old ball. Wasim is also hailed as best swing bowler ever witnessed by the game. He had the ability to bowl inswinging and out-swinging yorkers at searing pace.

All-time great, Jasprit Bumrah makes the numero-uno spot in Chopra’s list. Precisely, Malinga’s career was all about rushing the batsman with sheer pace and deadly Yorkers. The Sri Lankan legend, with that slingy action, is able to produce the right kind of dip for a perfect Yorker.
