Ajay Devgn, the veteran Bollywood Actor and a famed public figure, was present on the pre match talk show on Star Sports. He was accompanied by his wife Kajol, the Bollywood Diva. The couple was promoting Ajay’s upcoming film ‘Tanhaji’ which is scheduled to hit cinemas on 10 January.

During the talk show, The Bollywood star compared Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli to ‘Tanhaji’. FYI,Tanhaji’ was the Maratha Warrior and the film depicts the battle of Sinhagad in 1670 that was fought between Tanhaji Malusareand Udaybhan Singh Rathod. The famed Maratha fighter was known for his spirit to win at any cost.

Ajay Devgn praised the Indian captain for his fighting attitude and mentality to win at any cost. Comparing him with ‘Tanhaji’, he said, “Virat Kohli is the Tanhaji of team India. He is confident, aggressive and wants to win at any cost.”

Hardly, there will be anyone who will doubt this statement about Indian Captain. Kohli has led the team from the front ever since taking over the captaincy from MSD and made India one of best teams across formats. Virat Kohli himself also one of the top batsmen across the formats and holds the top spots in ICC One Day and Test batsmen rankings.

However, this is not the first time that Kohli has been lauded for his attitude and mentality on and off the field. He started a new trend of fitness and gym in Indian Cricket. He introduced Yo-Yo test for checking fitness of the players to get them match ready.

The Bollywood star also recalled his early days when he was also fond of Cricket and shared his fond memories on the talk show. He told, “I was a batsman. When it comes to memories, there are plenty – My finger had chipped when I tried to catch the ball, it is still twisted.”
