ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is scheduled to be played from May 30 in England and Wales. India will play their first match against South Africa on 5th may in Southampton. Indian batsmen Ajinkya Rahane has not been selected in Indian squad for world cup. Now, he has taken a step to improve his batting. This step has been used by many prominent Indian payers to return in form.

Ajinkya Rahane has filed an application to seek permission from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for his county cricket debut. Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma have played county cricket recently. English County Cricket will be played in Hampshire in the months of May, June and mid-July. The application has been forwarded to the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administration (CoA).

Meanwhile, in IPL 2019, Rahane hasn’t been in form so far. The 30-year-old has been leading the Rajasthan Royals (RR) side and has scored up just 201 runs in eight matches at an average of 25.12 so far. Rahane’s team RR has also witnessed a similar fate in IPL 2019 as they have won just two matches out of the eight matches they have played till now and are almost out of contention for the playoffs spot until something miraculous happens.

Currently, Rahane-led RR is at the seventh spot with only two wins from their eight encounters. They are only ahead of Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). RR will play their next match against MI today. RR has to win this match at any cost otherwise it will become very difficult for them to qualify in play-offs.
