Another Indian player to miss the last test match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Injury saga is still continuing in the camp of Indian Team. It is nevertheless decreasing whereas it has been increasing with every test match. According to PTI, With the tremendous securing the match with draw by the visitors hero Hanuman Vihari is likely to miss the last match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

During the match he has sustained hamstring tear which will considered to take a long time to recover which can keep him out of the last match. After the match he was sent to have the scans of his injured section to know more about that and it is said that the reports can be revealed by Tuesday in evening or by morning at Sydney.

Some sources also depicts that he might recover soon within a span of three to four test which is assumed yet. In the third test match, along with Ravichandran Ashwin, they both secured the match with a drawn status to keep the series yet also levelled. Hanuman Vihari scored 23 runs off 161 balls.

“The extent of Vihari’s tear can only be ascertained after the scan reports come through. But even if it’s grade 1 tear, he is out for at least four weeks and then will need some rehabilitation time. So it’s not only Brisbane Test but also, he won’t be a part of England Tests at home,” quoted by source.

It would be a tricky scenario for Indian team as ahead of test series against England, on seaming track they would definitely look to have an extra batsman in the squad.

With Vihari’s absence visitors can go for two options either to include Wriddhiman Saha into the playing XI or To include Mayank Agarwal into the middle order.

With the exclusion of Ravindra Jadeja from the last test match, two bowlers can be pretty much used that will be Shardul Thakur or T Natarajan into the playing XI.

The last test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be now the decider match with both teams locked with 1-1 each.
