Indian spin bowler, Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the best leg-spinners in current time but contrary to his bowling, the right-hander equally infamous for his poor batting skills at international level. In 31 first-class, 102 List A and 172 T20s, Chahal has managed to score a paltry 632 runs with not even a single score of 50+.

Recently, Royal Challengers Bangalore Chahal’s IPL franchise shared some interesting stats from the younger days of Chahal. In the Cooch Bihar Trophy, the Haryana leg-spinner scored 281 runs in single edition. In 2008-09 season, Chahal even hit a hundred (135) for his home team.

Sharing the stats of Cooch Bihar Trophy on its Instagram handle, RCB took a dig at the leg-spinner by asking him to bat higher up the order in upcoming IPL seasons. The post read- “DID YOU KNOW: @yuzi_chahal23 scored 1️35 & 46 in the first & second innings respectively vs Himachal Pradesh U19s in the 2008/09 Cooch Behar Trophy in Bengaluru! He scored a total of 2️81 runs in the tournament! Fancy playing up the order, Yuzi?”

Indian Captain Virat Kohli, who is also having a good time in this quarantine period, didn’t miss out the rare opportunity of trolling his junior as Virat replied that he will surely play him(Yuzi) higher up the order in Exhibition game.

The little banter was equally enjoyed by the fans as well. Both Virat Kohli and Yuzi Chahal were all set to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2020 except for the COVID-19 outbreak that has forced the whole world to remain indoors and quarantine themselves.
