At a time, Pakistan have lost their first four-wicket at just 70 runs. After the third wicket, Babar Azam and Asif Ali were batting. First Asif Ali denied a single and on the next ball, he threw his wicket at the wrong time when Pakistan needed a partnership. After this, Babar Azam lashes out at Asif Ali.

“Nice to be there till the end and see the boys home. The bowlers bowled beautifully. It was a slower ball and it took the edge of the bat to go on to the leg-side (referring to his uppercut). As a batter that’s the plan to get under their (the bowlers’) nerves. You try to find a way as a batter and do it to the best of your abilities,” Man of the match Steven Smith at the post-match presentation.

“Very pleasing. We were very good today. Getting wickets consistently was pleasing. Got guys like Steve, who does what he does best. I think at times our execution at the death could have been better. The shots that me and Davey played also weren’t great either,” Aaron finch after the match.

“Credit goes to Smith. He took the game away with a magnificent innings. Very disappointed. We didn’t bat well in the powerplay. Iftikhar gets the credit for the knock he played. I love the wickets here as the wickets are pretty true. I enjoy batting here,” Babar Azam after the match.
