Former Indian captain MS Dhoni took a break from cricket after the world cup 2019, and now he extended his break from cricket and not available for Bangladesh series. Currently, He is in the USA and playing Golf. MS Dhoni also served the army for 15 days during this break. Now according to reports, back injury reason behind MS Dhoni’s absence from Team India. During the Indian Premier League 2019, MS Dhoni also missed the game due to back injury.
According to BCCI sources cited by The Indian Express, Dhoni went into the World Cup with an injured back which was aggravated as the tournament progressed. The right-handed batsman picked up a wrist injury during the World Cup, the report added.
“The back is holding up, it’s not getting worse, with the World Cup coming up, can’t afford that, because that’s too important,” MS Dhoni said during the IPL 2019.
Now team Management is thinking that MS Dhoni will declare fit before November and available for selection before West Indies series. Rishabh Pant is playing as team India’s wicket-keeper in the absence of MS Dhoni. But he hasn’t impressed because of his poor form.
Recently Dhoni becomes the second admired man after PM Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, Dhoni has defeated the likes of Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar in the list of most admired men in India. According to a survey conducted by YouGov, Dhoni is the second most admired man in India, next only to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Earlier Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli said, “One great thing about him is that he thinks for Indian cricket. And whatever we (team management) think he is on the same page. The alignment is there. The kind of mindset he has had about grooming youngsters and giving them opportunities, and he is still the same person.”
