Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who last featured in recently concluded 3 match T20 International Series against West Indies, complained of pain in post-match show after a 67-run-win in 3rd T20 International of series at Wankhede Stadium. However, no official statement has been made by the team management or BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) officials regarding Bhuvneshwar.But considering the recent record of injuries of fast bowler and the upcoming season, Indian team management will not like to take any risk in the matter of their ace fast bowler.
Bharat Arun, the bowling coach, said that a medical statement would be issued later regarding Bhuvneshwar’s injury. It is most likely that Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be ruled out of the upcoming 3 match One Day International series against West Indies. As per the reports, Shardul Thakur is all set to replace him in upcoming ODI series. However, no official statement has been made.
The last 18-20 months has been tough for Bhuvneshwar Kumar as he has been in and out of team due to constant injuries. First he missed five match series against England and the Border-Gavaskar trophy in Australia due to back issues. Second during match against Pakistan in ICC World Cup 2019 where he suffered hamstring injury and as a result missed the series against South Africa and Bangladesh scheduled just after the World Cup.

Bhuvneshwar made comeback only in the recent T20I series against West Indies, where he was not up to the mark in first two match and could get going only in the 3rd match. He went on giving 36 runs in 4 overs without taking a wicket in first two matches. He did took 2 wickets in the last match of the series, but conceded 41 runs.
First match of upcoming ODI series against West Indies will be played on 15th of December at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
