India registered their highest T20I chase on Friday in the first T20I against WI. Riding on the knocks of King Kohli (94*) and KL Rahul (62), India chased down the target of 208 in 19.4 overs. King Kohli played a master class helping himself register his highest T20I score.

After a very long time anger-fuelled Kohli was on display, at Hyderabad. In an innings of two halves, Kohli showed the world why he is called chase master.

In the first half he struggled for the fluency trying some audacious shots without much success. Kohli revealed, at the presentations after the match, that he was trying to slog the ball and going for some adventurous shots to save KL from the requiring rate pressure, however he ended up putting more pressure as he crawled his way to 26 runs of 23 balls till 11 over of the Indian innings.

In the second half of innings, with 112 required of 54 balls, Jason Holder came to the attack as Virat Kohli finally find some timing on the balls to collect two boundaries in a 14 runs over. After that over, Kohli kept on attacking the bowlers as he scored freely even after the wicket of KL Rahul.

In the 16th Over, came Kesrick Williams, as Kohli lined him up for a bottom handed shot over his head for a boundary. Next ball was deposited more disdainfully with a whip off the pads over wide-long-on. King Kohli celebrated the shot with Kesrick Williams’s signature note-book celebration, mocking the bowler.

This celebration drew responses the world over, as twitter erupted in the praise of King Kohli.
