KKR are going to face RCB in their next match on 19th April. They have lost their last three matches back to back. Kolkata knight riders started their IPL 2019 with a bang. KKR has played 8 matches so far. They have won 4 matches. They are at 6th position in points table with 8 points.

Almost all matches KKR has won are due to Andre Russell’s one man show. He has scored 312 runs in with an average 78 runs. kolkata knight riders are heavily dependent on Andre Russell. Now, the news which has come can be very disturbing for KKR.

Andre Russell has been injured before their match against RCB tomorrow. It happened when Russell was practicing at nets on KKR home ground Eden Gardens. Russell failed to understand a bouncer from net practice bowler Minad Manjrekar which hit him directly on his left shoulder. It is the same left shoulder where Russell was hit by a Harshal Patel delivery during KKR’s match against Delhi Capitals at the Kotla. Russell felt on the ground, he can be seen in severe pain as the support staff rushed to the ground.

When asked to Manjerajar about this incident, the young fast bowler replied “It wasn’t intentional… The ball just slipped out of my hand”. Although as per sources, there was no major injury like fracture or dislocation. Although, there is still a dobut on his availability for Friday’s IPL XII match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

It’s learnt that Russell had the option of being stretchered off the field, but in what’s potentially a promising sign, he himself walked off on his own to the dressing room. He was later taken for an MRI scan to CMRI hospital, the result of which is likely to be known today. kolkata knight riders will be hoping that all test results come normal and he would be available to play tomorrow in match against RCB.
