After the long injury saga of Rohit Sharma came to the end and now he is making comeback to the Indian squad after sustaining hamstring injury during IPL-2020. He joined the team ahead of third test after a long 14-day quarantine norms. With the inclusion of Rohit into the team will definitely make huge changes in the playing XI which will be huge task for the skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Head Coach Ravi Shastri. The third test will be the decided test, that who will take the major lead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which will commence from 7th January.

Right now with the addition to the playing XI, Hitman is also appointed as the vice captain of the Test Team by replacing Cheteshwar Pujara and it might be major chances that the Hitman could open for the team for the next match.

So chances of Gill with Rohit for the opening slot then Pujara at No.3 and No.4 could be Ajinkya Rahane.
