Delhi Capitals are yet to win their maiden IPL title and they will be hoping to win their first ever IPL title this year. Delhi Capitals changed their team name from Delhi Daredevils (DD) to Delhi Capitals (DC) let’s see how the changed name will help in team performance.

In the previous season of IPL 2018, Gautam Gambhir led the team but DD could not win matches under his captaincy. He stepped down from captaincy after few matches. DD announced Shreyas Iyer as new captain. Under his captaincy DD performed well but could not qualify for play offs. He will lead the team this time also.  DC will be hoping that under his captaincy they can win their first ever IPL title.

This time, Delhi Capitals have some world class players like New Zealand opening batsman Colin Munro, South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, Rishab Pant and many more.

In IPl auction 2019 Delhi Capitals traded Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Probably this time DC will try Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan as the opening batman. Along with they also have another opening option of Colin Munro.

In middle order DD have some good batsman like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, South African batsman Colin Ingram etc. They also have a good all rounder South African batsman Chris Morris.

In bowling department DC have some important bowler like New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult, Ishant Sharma, South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada , spin bowler from Nepal Sandeep Lamichhane. Amit Mishra, West Indian fast bowler Keemo Paul etc.This time Delhi Capitals looking as a balanced team. In all departments team have back up option.
