Right now, England team is visiting to Sri-Lanka for their two match Test series which will commence from 14th January 2021. The visitors has arrived at Hambantota which is confirmed by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Monday.
With the arrival one bad news has been struck in the camp of visitors has their all rounder Moeen Ali has been tested positive for COVID-19 after being Done by PCR Test. All the team were tested before the tour and all were tested negative but after the arrival when all the players were again Tested, England Cricketer Moeen was tested positive thus making him for isolation for the coming 10 days as per given by Sri Lanka Government.
“Following PCR tests administered on arrival at the airport in Hambantota on Monday 4th January, the England and Wales Cricket Board can confirm that Moeen Ali has tested positive for COVID-19,” stated by ECB.
The only possible contact with England Cricketer Moeen can be Chris Woakes so he has also been under self isolation.
Now all the team members will again go for COVID test on Wednesday. Both the teams will be playing two test match which will be assisted by new batting coach for English team that is Jacques Kallis.
After this series, England will march towards India for Four match test series which will commence from 5th February in Chennai. Players like Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer will be return to the Indian series after the Sri Lankan series.
