England have announced their Squad for world cup 2019. Eoin Morgan led the England team in 2015 world cup and will be leading in this world cup also. In 2015 world cup, England got out at group stages only. In fact, they even lost to Bangladesh in 2015 world cup. This time the world cup will be played at their home grounds so all odd are in their favor. England have announced a strong team this time.

For opening England has selected Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy. There is a bad news for England as Jason Roy has got injured. He decided not to be a part of IPL 2019 auction, and now has, unfortunately, suffered a blow to the thigh during Surrey’s clash with Essex in Royal London One-Day Cup, played at the Oval.The first delivery of the fourth bowled by Peter Siddle struck him on the thigh and Roy was seen in terrible pain. Roy made it to the non-striker’s end and received treatment from the physiotherapist. He tried to continue but had to retire hurt after playing three more balls. It was first thought that he has got a hamstring injury before it was later confirmed that is was a case of a back spasm.

This is a very bad news for England as their back up opener for World cup Alex Hales has also taken an indefinite break from cricket due to some personal reasons. It is not clear whether he will play on world cup 2019 or not. With injury of Jason Roy England opening has become vulnerable.

Host England will inaugurate World Cup 2019 by playing against South Africa on May 30. Before the world cup, they have to play a ODI against Ireland, followed by a one-match T20I and five-match ODI series against visiting Pakistan.
