The most awaited match between India and Australia had been concluded. This was the comeback match for Indian Cricket Team after a long break. There wasn’t any much to celebrated by the Indian fans in the 1st ODI match which was played at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Friday. After the outbreak of COVID, sports was locked down for a temporary cause and for Indians it was commenced today and even the spectators had also got the chance to witness the game not through any virtual approach. This is the first time cricket was played under the applause of fans after this gap. The stadium registered crowd of around 50% in the first international game of the summer.

The 1st ODI between the best sides was seemed to be one sided in each and every department as Australia won the match by 66 runs against Indian in the series opener. By winning the toss, Australia elected to bat first and managed to register a mammoth total on the board of 374 runs by just losing 6 wickets. The Australian captain was the one who led from the front, Aaron Finch by opening the inning and scored 114 runs whereas Steven Smith coming at the No.3 position also cracked the inning by scoring century of just 62 balls. Even Glenn Maxwell and David Warner also played a well defined cameo by scoring 45 and 69 respectively.

Coming to 2nd innings India could manage to score only 308 runs on the board by losing 8 wickets. Indian Team took a blistering start with the help of Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan who added 50 runs in just 4.1overs. But, Hazlewood has another plan to be executed. With his bowling attack he took wicket of Mayank Agarwal and then the quick wickets went off in a very quick succession and made them on a situation of 101 runs with losing of 4 wickets. It was a fighting knock of Hardik Pandya and Shikha Dhawan who build up the inning and carried a strong partnership by adding 128 runs for the fifth wicket. After that Dhawan got out on 74. Within a short span Hardik Pandya also got out by registering his highest score in ODI of 90 runs. Ravindra Jadeja and Navdeep Saini then played a fine knock to cross the 300 mark for the team.

 David Warner entertains Indian fans

The loss in the opener made Indian Team in a condition to win both the remaining games to clinch the series. Indian fans hadn’t got any chances to celebrate thoroughly but they got one stance to celebrate which was created by Australian player David Warner. In the second innings where Australian team was on the field, David Warner gave fans a dance treat to watch by doing steps of famous Telugu song ‘Butto-Bomma’.

This wasn’t the first time fans witnessing Warner in this mood of dance at this song with this popular step. During the quarantine break in the sports, David Warner along with his wife Candice danced in this song for the Tik Tok video. He also performed this step during the IPL2020 when Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match against Mumbai Indians to enter into the playoffs.
