With growing development of enhancement infrastructural, now celebrities and sportspersons are taking a step forward towards the political aperture also. With this commendable approach now another Former Indian Cricketer has joined BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) of Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
That cricketer is none other than Laxman Sivaramakrishnan. He is now joined the BJP campaign. In the official announcement he has stated that he wants to now work for the state in their welfare and process developing. He has said now he wants to work for Chennai.
With having interview with Mumbai Mirror, Former Indian Cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan who has involved in the cricket for more than 49 years, has conveyed message to come forward and march towards human welfare.
“I have played cricket for 20 years and done commentary/coaching for another 20 years. It’s been 40 years with the game I love. Now I am looking at different challenges in life. Chennai, my city and Tamil Nadu, my state are my top priorities and I want to work for the development of my city and the state,”. Quoted by Laxman.
“I know I could not do justice to my talent and expectations of my fans as a cricketer. Will fulfil that commitment in politics. I want to work for the best of my ability for the party, state, country and people. I will not disappoint them in my second innings”.

As a player Laxman has played nine test matches for Indian team with scoring 130 runs and taking 26 wickets. With not much of good progress in matches, he then turned to be commentator. His journey has been really inspiring to carrying cricket kit to play for nation to ending up as a reputated politician.
He is considered as biggest leg spinners in the Indian history of Cricket Team.
