According to a senior BCCI official, The Board of Control for Cricket in India is all set to name the replacements of MSK Prasad and Gagan Khoda in the selection panel. The source has revealed that in place of them, two former India World Cup winners Madan Lal and Gautam Gambhir might be appointed as members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). A three-member committee will pick the selection panel for the next four-years from 2020 to 2024.

Now, things are back to normal and Sourav Ganguly has taken the charge as chief of BCCI. the BCCI is all set to induct two World Cup-winning heroes in the selection committee. Madan Lal, a hero of the 1983 World Cup winningIndia team, will be the head of the committee for being the senior-most member, while another World Cup hero Gautam Gambhir will assist him.
“Madan Lal and Gautam Gambhir are all set to be the CAC members,” the official told PTI on the condition of anonymity.
BCCI is expected to round off the 6-member committee with Mumbai-based woman international Sulakshana Naik, who has represented India in two Tests and 46 ODIs for the country. Other members are Sarandeep Singh (North), Devang Gandhi (East) and Jatin Paranjpe (West) and they still have one year left in their respective four-year terms. BCCI will soon plan a meeting and finalize the selections. BCCI is also expected to make changes in the junior selection panel.
