In a sad news for the fans of Chris Gayle, the left-handed batsman, has opted out of the 2020 edition of Caribbean Premier League. On Monday, citing the personal reasons, Gayle has made himself unavailable for the mega-tournament just a day before the players’ draft is scheduled to take place on June 24

Recently, ECB have announced the dates of home series against West Indies in July 2020. In a historic series, the ECB has decided to host WI for Three Test Match series starting from the first Test at the Ageas Bowl on July 8, the second Test and third Test will be played at the Old Trafford from July16 and 24 respectively.
The CPL 2020 is all set to get rolling from mid-August subjected to permission from the local government. The (CPL) organisers are keen to organising the tournament in Trinidad and for that they have already submitted a proposal to the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago.
After being released by his former franchise Jamaica Tallawahs, Chris Gayle, the Universe Boss, had recently, joined St Lucia Zouks for the Caribbean Premier League 2020 season.
Gayle is one of the iconic players in T20 cricket, the swashbuckling batsman represented the Tallawahs in the first four CPL seasons, before he spent the next two years with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Tallawahs had bought him back in the last season but Gayle’s indifferent form in 2019 edition saw him released by the franchise.
