With the commencement of a new year, good news are also struck with them for  Indian Fans of cricketing sports as Government of India has demolished the restrictions and allowed an entry of 50% of allotment for the fans in IPL-2021 and the England Tour in the hosting country.

The news came up with the quarters of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. After the destructive outbreak of COVID-19, each country put restrictions over spectators appearance in the stadium and every match were played behind the closed doors and now Government is taking steps forward to bring the cricket fever again to the country.

It is also predicted out that the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League that is 15th edition will commence from the month of April.

According to the reports which suggests new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regulated by Sports Ministry that only a 50% of fans will be allowed to spectate the match in the stadium.

The below mentioned rules and regulations are made by the Governing Council and BCCI ahead of stadium entrance of fans-

  • The spectators at the sporting event would be in accordance with the guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs vide its letter No. 40-3/2020-DM-I (A); dated 25thNovember 2020 [Para 9 clause (v)] or as amended from time to time.
  • CCTV monitoring should be planned for events to detect over crowding at entry and exit gates and seating area.
  • For outdoor events spectators will be allowed upto a maximum of 50% of total capacity of the stadium.

With enhancement of IPL-2021 with these rules are also now applied to the England tournament also which will commence from February. Both the teams will play five T20Is, three ODIs and 4 Tests respectively.

Regarding IPL-2021

Now as it’s final that mini auctions will be conducted for the IPL-2021 whereas the mega auctions with inclusion of new two teams will be only from the IPL-2022.
