After that Shai Hope and Evin Lewis added 88 runs for the second wicket. Evin Lewis got out after scoring the half-century. He made 58 runs in 78 balls with the help of 6 fours and two sixes. Shi hope also scored fifty. He made 77 runs in 92 balls with the help of 6 fours and two sixes. At the end of the inning, Nicholas Pooran and Jason holder scored some valuable runs. Pooran scored 58 runs in just 43 balls with the help of 6 fours and one six. And holder made 45 runs in just 34 balls.

West Indies set the target of 312 runs for Afghanistan. In the bowling for Afghanistan, Dawlat Zadran took two wickets. Captain Gulbadin Naib dropped an easy catch during the West Indies batting. Gulbadin Naib tries to make the catch, but because of the sun, the ball could not see him.
During the mid-inning presentation, Shai hope said,
“Pleased to see a score of 300 and more must say thanks to the guys at the end to get us there. I just tried to get some runs under the belt in the last match of the World Cup. The pitch was a bit slow to start; they bowled well in the middle overs and it was important to keep wickets in hand to give us a launching pad at the back end. [Was he the glue?] Yes (laughs).
