India’s premier all-rounder, Hardik Pandya has announced his return to the competitive cricket with a slam-bang century in DY Patil T20 Cup. The all-rounder after a longer than expected rehabilitation process has hit the ground running.
Hardik Pandya has been returning to the cricket field after almost six-months. The all-rounder was operated in London due to his troubled lower back problem. Since then, he has been going under rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy Bengaluru.
Pandya, in an unbelievable knock, hit 4 boundaries along with 10 humongous sixes to complete reach in three figures off just 37 balls. In the previous match also, the Mumbai Indians star stole the limelight with his 38 run cameo off just 25 balls. In that innings also Hardik Pandya smacked as many as four sixes in a 38. Later in the bowling the all-rounder also claimed three wickets for in 3.4 overs.
Hardik Pandya is an important cog in India’s limited over setup as the all-rounder provides a much needed balance to the side with his all-round abilities. Earlier, Hardik was expected to be fit for the ongoing New Zealand tour of IndiaA. But with his rehabilitation process is taking longer than expected, BCCI withdrawn the all-rounder from the squad after naming him initially in the teams.
Now, with Hardik Pandya announcing his return in Dy Patil T20 Tournament, it will please both Mumbai Indians and Team India. While India will be looking to avail the services of all-rounder in the upcoming ODI series against Australia. Mumbai Indians would be extremely happy with the astounding return of their star all-rounder. Mumbai Indians will kick off their IPL campaign – against Chennai Super Kings- in the inaugural match on 29th March at Wankhede.
