India women are playing a three-match ODI against West Indies Women in West Indies; this series is the part of the ICC women’s ODI championship. Top teams of the ICC women’s ODI championship will directly qualify for the Women’s world cup 2021. India have lost the first match of the series by just one run. During the first ODI, India’s Harmanpreet Kaur takes one-handed stunner catch to dismiss Stafanie Taylor.
During the last over of West Indies inning, on the last ball, Stafanie Taylor needed just 6 runs to complete her century because she was batting on 94. So Stafanie Taylor went for a six from over long-on boundary but Harmanpreet Kaur has a different plan and Kaur took an outstanding catch by one hand.
Taylor couldn’t believe her luck as she thought the ball would sail over the ropes but Harmanpreet did the unthinkable and caught the ball mid-air to stop her short in her path.

Talking about the match, in this match, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first. Windies set down the target of 226 runs for Team India with the help of Stafanie Taylor’s 94 runs. India have lost the match by just one run in the last. Priya Punia was the highest scorer for team India. She scored 75 runs in 107 balls with the help of six fours.
“I think as a team we should have chased this target. It was a great effort from Stafanie Taylor. These experiences will help the young players. We need to pull up our socks in fielding,” Indian captain Mithali Raj in the post-match presentation after the match.
The second ODI of the series will be played on November 03 where Team India can try to bounce back.
