Brad Hogg, former Australian spinner and cricket analyst, has made a big claim about Ambati Rayudu on his Youtube Channel. The 49-year old, who represented Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in his IPL career, has claimed that he won’t be surprised if Ambati Rayudu is seen Indian colours again.

In the first match of #Dream11 IPL2020, Ambati Rayudu played a marvellous innings of 71 runs off just 48 deliveries against Mumbai Indians. The 34-year walked in to bat when Chennai Super Kings were reeling at 6-2 in pursuit of 163.

Rayudu joined hands with Faf Du Plessis as the duo counterattacked Mumbai Indians’ bowler to put a match winning a stand of 115-runs. Ambati Rayudu, in particular, was ruthless against MI bowlers as he played fast bowlers as well as spin bowlers with equal ease.

Last year, the 34-year was excluded from India’s World Cup 2019 squad even after excellent performances just before the World Cup. Ambati Rayudu was supposed to be India’s No.4 in the tournament and coincidently, it was India’s middle order that failed miserably in the tournament. The 34-year old also took retirement out of despair, before came out of retirement after some time.

“CSK have got plenty of depth. Ambati Rayudu stood up and I think he can do a job again at No.4. I won’t be surprised if he is playing for India sooner rather than later. I think he is going to have another big series. He looks on top, watch him to make another 50 and he will make another 50 and become the man of the match,” Hogg told in his Youtube channel.

The 49-year old also talked about Rajasthan Royals’ chances against CSK in the 4th match of IPL 2020. Brad Hogg thinks that Jos Buttler’s absence is a big blow for RR as he plays spin really well.

“The big blow for Rajasthan Royals would be Jos Buttler as he won’t be playing against CSK because he is still in quarantine. He came a little later than the other Australian and England players in the UAE for this IPL. The reason why it is a big blow because he is the Royals’ best player against spin. He is the only one who has got a strike-rate of above 120. So that is a big void to fill,” he added.
