Former West Indian Fast Bowler Ian Bishop reveals his all-time ODI XI. He picks four Indians and only one Australian in his team. It came as a surprise that Ian Bishop picks only one Australian player in his All-time ODI XI. Rohit Sharma and Sachin Tendulkar are the openers in his team.

“I have an opening pair from the same country, Rohit Sharma and Sachin Tendulkar. Rohit can become a modern-day great. He can forge a really great partnership with Sachin,” Bishop said in a video for ICC.

Ian Bishop picks Viv Richards at number 3 and Virat Kohli at number 4.

“Richards was way ahead of his time. If you look at his strike rate then you would realize, he can fit into any team even today.”

“I cannot go past Virat Kohli, the way he has scored runs, won games, his record in chases, he’s already a modern great,” Bishop added

Bishop’s no. 5 was former South Africa batsman AB de Villiers. “There shouldn’t be any debate on AB’s position. I cannot remember any other player who has a 50-plus average at that strike rate despite playing so many games,” Bishop said.

Bishop selects Indian wicket-keeper player MS Dhoni as their wicket-keeper in his XI and the South African player Lance Klusener as the finisher in his team along with MS Dhoni.

“Average of 50, wicket-keeper, great finisher and along with Klusener, Dhoni can give nightmares to bowlers,” Bishop said.

Pakistan player Saqlain Mushtaq is the spin bowling option in his team and Wasim Akram, Joel Garner and Glenn McGrath are the seamers in his XI.

Here is the all-time ODI XI of Ian Bishop:

Sachin Tendulkar(India), Rohit Sharma(India), Viv Richards(West Indies), Virat Kohli(India), AB de Villiers(South Africa), Lance Klusener(South Africa), MS Dhoni(India), Wasim Akram(Pakistan), Saqlain Mushtaq(Pakistan), Joel Garner(West Indies), Glenn McGrath(Australia).
