The opening test match of the Border-Gavaskar trophy was a nightmare for the visitors as they had been defeated with the most disappointing loss ever. The day couldn’t imagined also, even all the fans and the management couldn’t even resist this loss. There are plenty of bad news in the dug out, the team combination, absence of skipper in the remaining tests, and now injury scare of Mohammad Shami. Things are getting worse for the team.

Mohammad Shami sustained a fracture in the day 3 test at Adelaide, and the bouncer was bowled by Pat Cummins to his bowling arm that he couldn’t even lift his hand and thus gets ruled out of the remaining matches.

He has been a crucial bowler for the visitors unit and with his absence team will definitely going to struggle in the Australian soil.

With the absence of Shami for the remaining matches he stated team is in big loss.

“It (Shami injury) is a big problem. He has the knack of taking wickets, he can shock the opposition with his bouncers and yorkers. If he is not playing, then it’s going to be trouble for India,”. Said by Sunil Gavaskar to Sports Tak.

He suggests that if Ishant Sharma seems to be fit and fine then it is very much mandatory to bring him to Australia for the visitors. Yet he hasn’t traveled to Australia and Gavaskar believes that if he is good to be played then he should be sent.

“If Ishant Sharma is fit, I am suggesting to send him to Australia now. If he is capable of bowling 20 overs in a day, the management should send him to Australia on tomorrow’s flight so that he can be ready for the Sydney Test,”. Said by Gavaskar

“I am saying India should look at taking a chance because there is no proper back up now. Navdeep Saini has the potential to pick wickets but the way he bowled in the warm up matches, it doesn’t look like he will be able to trouble the Australia batsmen,” added by Gavaskar.
