After the ICC cricket world cup 2019, India will tour of West Indies for two tests, three ODIs, and three t20i. The tour starts just after the world cup 2019. But BCCI could want to postpone this tour for some days because they want players to get enough rest before this tour. So BCCI has requested to West Indies cricket board to postpone the tour.

As per the report of ESPNcricinfo, West Indies cricket board has accepted the proposal of BCCI and they are ready to postpone the tour. The tour will be postponed for two weeks. Now the tour will likely start in the first week of August.

BCCI has further asked CWI to add a three-day warm-up match ahead of the tour. During this tour, India A will also tour to play three four-day matches in the West Indies.

However the schedule of this tour has not announced yet, maybe The dates of the tour will be announced on May 13 by CWI.

Cricket west indies are also postponing the CPL 2019 because of this tour. Earlier CPL was starting from 21 August, and the final will take place on September 27. Now, The tournament will be played from September 4 to October 12.

In a media release, CWI CEO Johnny Grave has confirmed that to avoid the clash with India tour of West Indies, we have changed the dates of the Caribbean premier league 2019.

Grave said in the media release , “We are pleased that we have been able to collaborate with CPL to find a spot in our international calendar to ensure that all the best Caribbean cricketers can take part, as the tournament plays a crucial role in our preparations and planning for the T20 World Cup in 2020.”
