The 2020 IPL Auction is scheduled to be held in Kolkata on December 19. All-rounders Glen Maxwell and Chis Moris and fast bowler Pat Cummins are all set to be part of second round at Auction. The auction, which will be concluded in a single day, will commence with a set of seven batsmen five of them are Aaron Finch, Chris Lynn, Jason Roy, Eoin Morgan and Robin Uthappa.

The IPL Working Committee has sent the final list of players, which will go under hammer for auction, to the eight franchises. The list has been trimmed down to 332 from 971 which includes 24 new players, who were added in the list on the request of franchises. The newly added list of 24 players includes Australians Adam Zampa and Dan Christian, West Indies pacer Kesrick Williams who was a part of West Indies team in recently concluded three match T20I Series in India, former Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim, and 21-year-old Surrey batsman Will Jacks who smashed a dashing 25 ball century in a pre-season T10 match against Lancashire in UAE.

Among the other players in the list there are 19 capped Indian players. The players have been grouped according to their specialities. The auction will take place in order, starting with Batsmen, then moving on to All-rounders, then Wicket-Keeper Batsmen, Fast Bowlers and at last Spinners. Firstly, the different sets of capped players will be auctioned and after that uncapped players will go under auction.

Through this auction, a total of 73 slots across all franchises will be filled up, 29 of which can be Overseas players. All teams will look forward to strengthen their bench strength.

Glen Maxwell, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh, Dale Steyn and Angelo Mathews has listed their base price to Rs. 2 Cr. ($279,000 approx.), the maximum for this IPL auction. While maximum base price for an Indian Player is Rs. 1.5 Cr. of Robin Uthappa followed by Jaydev Unadkat of Rs. 1 Cr.
