IPL governing council starts the preparation of the Indian Premier League 2020. The auction for IPL 2020 will take place in Kolkata on December 19 this year. It will be a mini-action so it will happen for one day. Before the one month of Indian Premier League auction, all the IPL franchise will trade the player from each other franchise. The trading window will close in November 2018
It will be a mini-auction, which will see a Rs 3 crore increment to the salary cap of players, which means the franchises can spend up to Rs 86 crore. While most of the teams are more or less settled, the weaker teams see the auction as an opportunity to revamp their side with quality players. If the auction is held in December, we might hear a date from IPL authorities for the deadline when franchises can release their underperforming players.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Delhi Capitals have the biggest balance – INR 8.2 crore, followed by Rajasthan Royals – INR 7.15 crore, Kolkata Knight Riders (INR 6.05 crore), Sunrisers Hyderabad (INR 5.3 crore), Kings XI Punjab (INR 3.7 crore), Chennai Super Kings (INR 3.2 crore), defending champions Mumbai Indians (INR 3.05 crore) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (INR 1.8 crore).

Rajasthan Royals won the first edition of the Indian premier league after that they have failed to win the IPL title again while Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab, and Delhi Capitals haven’t won the IPL title.
