Earlier, According to reports, Indian Premier League 2020 will start from September 26. But now BCCI wants to start IPL 2020 from September 19 because of Australia tour. India tour of Australia will kick off from December 3 with the first test and team India will need to stay in 14-day quarantine before they can step on the field.

“The Indian team will have a mandatory quarantine of 14 days as per Australian government rules. A delay would have sent the plans haywire. The best part is that 51 days is not at all a curtailed period and there will be much less doubleheaders. We could stick to original five doubleheaders in seven-week window,” the BCCI official explained.

All the eight IPL team may flight for The UAE on August 20. After reaching UAE, all the teams will go for a 14 quarantine.
