It is said that if Ravindra Jadeja gets fit then he would be the perfect replacement for Hanuman Vihari for the Boxing day Test against hosts and it is very much necessary to find a better option for Indian team for the test as visitors had lost the spark which they want.
Ravindra Jadeja who was out for the T20I series due to concussion and was ruled out from the T20I series and from first opening test respectively.
With the time it is said that Jadeja is recovering with better progress but it is not sure that he is perfectly well for the second test which will commence from 26th December.
If Jadeja seems to get fit then the management and the skipper will definitely look for better all rounder for the team.
“If Jadeja gets fit to bowl long spells, then there is no debate at all. Jadeja replaces Vihari on the basis of his all round skills. Also it gives us an option to play five bowlers at the MCG,” quoted by BCCI officials.
Ravindra Jadeja has scored 1869 runs in just 49 tests with an amazing average of 35+ which consists of 14 fifties and a ton.
Hanuman Vihari has just scored 576 runs in 10 tests with average of 33+ consists of four half centuries.
India is on the worst situation as there main pacer is ruled out due to fracture bowled by Pat Cummins in the opening test.
Due to continuous rain, the practice session which was scheduled at Adelaide Oval was called off and will be played at any other scheduled date.
Right now Rohit Sharma is at Sydney under the strict quarantine norms and will only be available after 3rd January 2021. Rohit could b only available for the last two tests after his end of the quarantine time.
