Delhi capitals has already qualified for the Playoffs of IPL 2019. They are at 3rd position in the points table with 16 points. But before the playoffs match their star player, Kagiso Rabada ruled out from IPL 2019 with a back niggle. Rabada played a crucial role in DC’s win. He has the highest wicket-taker so far in IPL 2019. Rabada picked 25 wickets in 12 matches of IPL 2019 with an average of 14.72. He could not play in the last match against CSK, and DC lost the game.
After this match, Captain Shreyas Iyer said,
“ We know what ability he (Rabada) has, especially in the death over. For sure we were missing him in this game. He had a stiff back, and it is good that he took rest.”
Now Kagiso Rabada completely out from IPL 2019 due to back niggle. Delhi will surely miss him.
When leaving Delhi team, Kagiso Rabada said,
“It is indeed very hard for me to leave the Delhi Capitals at this stage of the tournament. But with the World Cup just a month away, a collective decision has been made for me in this regard. It’s been a tremendous season for me with the Delhi Capitals, both on and off the field, and I truly believe that our team can win the trophy.”
After losing Rabada, DC coach Ricky pointing Said, “It’s unfortunate that Rabada is having to leave us at this stage of the tournament. But I have full confidence in our team, and I’m sure each and every member of this unit will step up to the occasion,”
Delhi will play their next game against Rajasthan Royals on May 4. Delhi will try to win this match and finish the league stage at a high note and in the playoffs with winning momentum.
