With the IPL 2020 and all International series getting either cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all the players are enjoying the untimely break from the game. The 21-days locked down has stopped every outdoor activity and services at least till 14 April. And this lockdown has forced everyone to do some uncommon work by themselves.
Recently, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal were having a live interaction session on social media. During the conversion, Jasprit Bumrah shared his long standing wish to bowl Yuzvendra Chahal in an IPL match and asked the latter to be ready for the IPL 2020. However, Yuzi, who was not in a mood to step back, reminded Bumrah his recent improvement in batting skills.
Interestingly, both Bumrah and Yuzi normally bat at No.10 or No. 11 for India and are not considered handy with the bat. But in recent times, both of them have shown glimpses that they can also hit a few boundaries if luck favours them. While Yuzi Chahal, recently, hit a nearly perfect straight drive in England, Bumrah hit a last ball six off Pat Cumming in a match against Australia.
When both of them were boating their mile stones, Mumbai Indians Captain–Rohit Sharma, who was having a keen look at the conversation, advised his ace bowler to save one over for Yuzi as the latter has become overconfident of his batting skills.
MI’s official twitter was also quick to enter in the funny conversation. “Are you pumped-up to see Bumrah bowl to Chahal? 👊😋 Predict what the over will be like?” read the MI twitter handle, seeking their fans opinion on the battle of two team India champions.
Now, trapped between two MI players and fans, the willy spinner came with an interesting reply to save himself. “Keep dreaming i am batting no.10 or 11 before me finch ABD sir and king kohli is there first get them out then we will talk about my batting#staysafe” replied Yuzvendra Chahal.
