Four Weeks have gone by since the inaugural match of #Dream11 IPL 2020. All the 8 teams have played 8 matches each and it’s been a thrill to watch so far. In these four weeks, we have had two super overs, few exciting chases, a lot of hitting, a couple of Tewatia specials, KKR’s captaincy change, Delhi Capitals’ injury concerns, a much-awaited Gayle Storm and Mumbai Indians ruthlessly humbling their oppositions as usual.
Two of the most balance squads – Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians are sitting at top two positions of table with 6 wins each from 8 matches. Following them is RCB with 5 wins out of 8 matches. While KKR is placed 4th with 8 points, three teams SRH, CSK and RR are tied at 6 points each with NRR separating them.
With the tournament looking set for exciting finish, former greats and analysts of the game has started their prediction for the tournament. Former England captain and commentator, Kevin Pietersen has picked his IPL 2020 playoff contenders in his column for betwayinsider.
Writing in his column, Pietersen has backed Royal Challengers Bangalore to come good after their defeat against KXIP and finish in top three after league stages. “Even though they narrowly lost to KXIP on Thursday, Royal Challengers Bangalore are playing some very good cricket now. They went close to pulling off a miracle victory there.

“Their bowling is coming up trumps more often. They have a spin combination that is starting to work and produce results, alongside a batting line-up that we know all about. I think RCB are one of the runners in a three-horse race to win the competition,” wrote Pietersen.
Pietersen than picked Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals as the other two teams to finish in top 2. “The Delhi Capitals are another. They have got an all-round team that is really good. I’m still happy to be behind them. Clearly, the Mumbai Indians are firing big time, too. They have a formidable line-up in all departments. For me, they are the three teams that can win it,” he added.
Kevin Pietersen also clarified why it will be tough for three times champions Chennai Super Kings to make it to IPL 2020 playoffs. “Chennai Super Kings are back in the tournament after their win against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but I still don’t think they can win games consistently. Their bowling attack just doesn’t feel right,” he said.
