The #Dream11 IPL 2020 has been a thrill to watch so far. The league stages are done and dusted and we are into playoffs with top two teams Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals taking on each other later in the evening.
After a turmoil and agony for six months due to Covid-19, this year’s IPL brought broad smiles and moments of joy on the faces of fans. The action might have shifted in UAE but the quality and intensity never dipped throughout the league stages.
With the tournament entering in playoffs, experts and former cricketer are out with their predications. Latest in the list is Brad Hogg – former Australian spinner and active commentator.
Brad Hogg recently announced his IPL 2020 XI for the ongoing edition of the tournament. Surprisingly, the former Australian spinner did not pick either of KL Rahul or Kagiso Rabada in his IPL XI. Both KL Rahul and Kagiso Rabada are on top of batting and bowling charts respectively this season. While KL Rahul is carrying the baton in batting charts with 670 runs, Kagiso Rabada has proved his worth time and again picking 25 wickets at an average of 17.80 so far.
But Hogg picked neither of the two as he started his XI with dashing Shikhar Dhawan and promising Mayank Aggarwal. While Suryakumar Yadav, AB de Villiers and Eoin Morgan make the middle order in Hogg’s IPL XI, Hardik Pandya takes lone all-rounders slot at No.6 spot comfortably, despite not bowling a single bowl in the tournament so far.
In the bowling unit, Hogg has gone with Rajasthan Royal’s Jofra Archer, willy Rashid Khan along with Indian trio of Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal.
