A incident took place in the McLean Park where New Zealand was taking on Pakistan for the third and final T20I match. The match was stopped due to the sunlight effect which eventually keeps the game stop. Both the teams were playing three match T20I series at New Zealand. In the third T20I visitors won the toss and chose to field first. Pakistan seemed to be in good track as they were taking wickets in quick successions but due to this unexpected consequence in the 12th over put the game in halted situation.
The same happened many more time also where like match between Bangladesh and New Zealand gets stopped due to the same reason in year 2017 whereas in the previous year match between Kiwis and Men in Blue also gets stopped for 30 minutes due to setting sun.
This usually happens in the McLean Park in Napier as the ground is facing towards East-West and normally the surface is built according to the North-South phenomenon.
The good news was that the match gets resumed within a gap of five minutes so no feasibility in the over was seen.
Pakistan performance in the ongoing series
Visitors will be little bit disturbed after their continuous loss in the T20I series and they will think to get back to the track again and with a win the confidence will also boost up for them.
With the absence of their skipper and star player Babar Azam, team is struggling a lot and they have to roll on as the skipper wont be available for the first Test match also due to the injury he sustained in the practice session. Right now, visitors team will led by Mohammad Rizwan.
