MS Dhoni is not part of the team currently who tour West Indies for a bilateral series. MS decided to take rest form cricket and served the army for two months. Rishabh Pant is the wicket-keeper batsman for India. Selector gives a chance to Rishabh pant to gain experience and for more opportunity to looking forward the T20 world cup 2020. Recently Chief Selector MSK Prasad said that MS Dhoni is the best Gloveman and Finisher.

“I can clearly say this that till today, MS [Dhoni] is the best gloveman and finisher in India in the shorter formats. The others are still work in progress. MS was a big strength to this team in the World Cup both as a batsman and keeper, apart from sharing his vast experience with the team and captain while taking on-field decisions,” MSK Prasad told PTI

“I have very clearly told post the selection of the Indian team against West Indies, that we have a plan post World Cup to give as many opportunities as possible to Rishabh and groom him so that he can grow in confidence and perform as per the requirements of the team,” Prasad said.

After the world cup 2019, people started to say that MS Dhoni retired for International cricket. However, recently Virat Kohli said that MS dhoni continues till Rishabh pant groom as the Youngster. But MS Dhoni’s family wants that he retire from cricket and spend time with them.

MS Dhoni scored 273 runs in the nine world cup matches at an average of 45.50. But his approach in the middle order was questioned.

India tour of West Indies will start from today with the T20 series. The first two matches of the series will be played in Florida, the USA on August 3 and 4.
