CSK’s owner N Srinivasan, in an event on Saturday, also reiterated the same and went on to say that CSK will retain the legendary player in the next years Mega Auction also. “Dhoni will play this year, next year he will go to the Auction and we will retain him,” said N Srinivasan in an event on Saturday.
MS Dhoni and CSK has been synonyms of each other since the inception of IPL and Dhoni has won a number of matches for them doing the finisher’s role. Dhoni has captained CSK in all these years and begged them three IPL titles in 10 seasons and he is all set to play in the Yellow jersey for the 11th year.
Currently, Dhoni is getting INR 15 crore for every season and the franchise would like to retain the player to groom young talents and make a formidable team from the currently aging team.
