At the start of the next month, West Indies cricket team will travel India for Bilateral series in which they will play a three-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series against India. The series will kick off from December 06 with the T20I series. As per schedule, the first T20I between India and West Indies played in Mumbai and the last match of the series played in Hyderabad but now BCCI makes a slight change in the schedule and Mumbai, Hyderabad swap dates of T20Is against West Indies.
Now the first T20I between these two teams will play in Hyderabad and the last match of the series will be played in Mumbai. The changes in the schedule, because of The Mumbai police’s inability to provide security to the tour-opening match.
“The BCCI has agreed to swap the dates of the Mumbai (December 6) and Hyderabad (December 11) games. We were able to carry out the swap after HCA president Mohammed Azharuddin agreed,” a senior Mumbai Cricket Association official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
“The BCCI has informed us that the December 6 T20I will now be played in Hyderabad. The final match will be played in Mumbai,” Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) secretary R Vijayanand told ToI on Friday (November 22) evening.
“It will not be much of a hassle but the officials will now have to sit down and rework the whole thing. Time is of a premium and therefore there cannot be any laxity on the part of the officials,” sources said.
