Just a few months are left to welcome back the world’s best T20 league to be take set on fire and that is one and only Indian Premier League-2021. With the concluding season clinched by Mumbai Indians, now every team will focus to comeback with good form and for this each team will also consider to bid on new talented player.
With re consideration towards the mini auction for the IPL-2021, team are also aiming to release some of their players who couldn’t play as expected in the concluded season. According to Inside Sport, Kedhar Jadhav might lose the contract of Rs 7.8 crore with Chennai Super Kings as the franchise is going to release him from the camp.
“Jadhav was not in best of form in IPL 2020. He was also struggling with his fitness. CSK will move on from Jadhav in IPL-2021, everyone in the team management feels that it will be prudent to take this hard call and invest in future,” quoted by one of source.
He has struggled a lot in the last season and couldn’t produce best for the team and definitely leads to struggle in each matches for the Chennai Super Kings. The 35 year old batsman wasn’t upto the mark for the franchise in the middle order and played slow knock with devastating strike rate. His knock of seven runs from twelve balls led team to lose against Kolkata Knight Riders in the league stage.
He could managed to score 62 runs in 8 games with awful strike rate of 93.93.
Mini Auction of IPL-2021
It is said that Governing Council has ordered whole franchises to deposit name of retained and released players till 20th January and to continue the expected date of mini auction with 11th February.
“Nothing has been officially discussed about the base price yet. But during the BCCI AGM we discussed the matter informally. Ownership of IPL Team is now very prized asset and we feel the base price for the new IPL team will be nothing less than 1500 Cr or probably more” said by BCCI source.
