On Wednesday, each franchises has released some players from their camp and some of them are retained ahead of 14th edition of Indian Premier League. With this now the list has been finalised for the released and retention list. But still there is one approach has been yet opened that is the Window Trade where franchises can be interconnected with each other for trade of any player to one franchise to another.
In this window trade approach of IPL-2021, Robin Uthappa has been traded from Rajasthan Royals to Chennai Super Kings. He was brought up by Rajasthan Royals in previous year for 3Cr hiked from base price of 1.5Cr but now he has been traded to Yellow Army.

The trading approach might be mutually took as Yellow Army was desperately in need of an opener who can build up some runs on the board and can support Rituraj Gaikwad in the coming edition.
“I really enjoyed my year at the Royals and had a great time being part of this franchise. I am now excited for the next part of my cricketing journey joining CSK for IPL 2021,” Uthappa was quoted as saying in a Rajasthan Royals media release on Thursday (January 21).

His IPL-2020 was not worth remembering as he only scored a total of 196 runs in 12 matches with an average of 16.33. With his addition to the Chennai Super Kings, now franchise is left with only 6 available slots for the mini-auction for 14th edition.
