Today, Pakistan has announced their Squad for ICC world cup 2019 to be played in England and Wales. In 2015 World cup Misabah ul Haq led the team successfully to quarter finals but lost to Australia in quarter finals. This time Sarfarz Ahmed will lead the team. However in last two series, Shoaib Malik has led the team. Pakistan Squad for world cup include 3 openers, 4 middle order batsmen, 2 spinners and 5 fast bowlers.

In opening they have selected Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-haq. In middle order they have added Harris Sohail, Shoiab Mailk. They have included all rounder Faheem Ashraf in their team. In spinners they have added Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim.

Pakistan Fast bowling department is considered as one of the strongest bowling department. The conditions of England and wales are supportive to fast bowlers so this would be a very good news for Pakistan. They have selected Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hassan Ali as fast bowlers.

This world cup, may be the last world cup for Shoaib Malik so Pakistan will try to use his experience as much as possible in the tournament. Before world cup they have to play a bilateral series against England. In this series both teams will play one T20i and five ODIs. Pakistan squad of this series is same as that of world cup but two extra players are also added –  Mohammad Amir, Asif Ali.
