With 2 days left in the series decider, Indian team is getting into more trouble mode as their star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is also doubtful to play the Brisbane Test. His phenomenal knock in the Sydney Test made team to resist in draw but the saddened news is that the player is facing sort off back pain. His wife Prithi revealed it.
On the final day of third test Ashwin along with Vihari played a long inning for three hours to battle out. He has been the core spinner for the visitors as now Jadeja is also ruled out so Ashwin was the one to lead in the decider match. Till now he has took 12 wickets and got Steven Smith three times in the series which is a great stats.
If Ashwin declares to be unfit then Washington Sundar who traveled with team as a net bowler have to charge for the team and has to debut as he has the ability to play both as batsman and bowler.
“Ashwin is in bad shape. It’s a 40-60 for him, whether he can play. If he doesn’t then there’s a chance India will go with four pacers- Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini and T Natarajan “. Quoted by source.
“If Ashwin is fit, even then including Sundar in the XI will make sense because he can bat and gives an option in bowling department”.
“Kuldeep can’t bat and key at Gabba will be putting runs on the board”. Added by Source.
Mayank Agarwal also had a slight injury on arms while practising in net session who was going to replace Vihari in the next match. If he couldn’t make the place then team has left with only option as Prithvi Shaw.
