Amid the lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak, the players and fans are keeping themselves busy by interacting on social media and surfing their interests. Former players and the current stalwarts of game are spending a good amount of time by conducting question answer sessions on twitter and other social media platforms.

Suresh Raina, out of favour Indian batsman, recently in an interaction session with former teammate Irfan Pathan, has lashed out at former chief of selectors, MSK Prasad for his ouster from the international team. Raina also blamed MSK for not communicating with him before discarding him.

After a slight dip in form in 2015-16, Raina was dropped from the team. Later, he was called up for some internationals in 2017 and 2018 but despite some good performances, he was again dropped as India kept playing musical chairs for the no.4 slot in the eleven. Raina was also expecting a national call-up for the 2019 World Cup also but ended up playing his last match for India in 2018 against England.

However, in a recent Instagram live session with Suresh Raina, Indian limited overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma has backed the south-paw to make an international return. Praising Raina for his all-round abilities, Rohit Sharma, whose journey in Cricket has been a story itself, advised Suresh Raina to remain patient and ensure that whenever the chance comes, he is ready to grab it with both hands.

“I know it is very tough to be out of the team after playing for so many years. We used to talk that we should have Raina in the team in some way. You have the experience and ability with bowling and fielding. I feel that we have seen you play for such a long time, somewhere I feel that somehow or the other you should be back in the team. But then we will see, we make do with what we have in our hands.” Rohit Sharma said.

Having made his debut at the age of 19, the 33-year old has represented India in 226 ODIs and 18 Tests thus far.
