During the mid-inning Presentation, Angelo Mathews said,

“(Batting at Leeds) Good memories, it has been very good for me. I’m enjoying it. The wicket was playing a little bit slow, it was a bit tacky and it was turning as well. It’s kind of hard. We just wanted to put a good partnership, take it deep and then launch from the 40th over. Wherever the team needs me to bat, I’m happy to do it as long as the team is happy. I’m willing to do anything they (captain and coach) want. It is quite difficult to bat on.”

“You never know what’s enough against this strong Indian batting line-up. If we make inroads early, try and get Kohli and Rohit early, we can put pressure on the middle order. We gotta bowl pretty bowl. I may bowl a few overs. I haven’t bowled at the nets all. Glad that I contributed with the bat today, but if needed I’ll bowl as well.”
