Indian Team are definitely in a big doubt over the opening slot for the upcoming red ball matches. Visitors has been struggling a lot for this. As it has been seen in the opening Test match, there wasn’t nothing to be remembered by the visitors, a totally nightmare day for the nation.

All they have to do is work on the processes, with low performance by Prithvi Shaw in the first test, it seems that he won’t be selected in the next match. He has only scored duck and 4 runs in the first test which was devastated and totally disappointment. Opener Mayank Agarwal can be boarded for the next test match.

With the less transparency in the batting by Shaw, team will definitely look for other players to fill up the shoes as an opener. There are already in talks of Shubman Gill, KL Rahul for the place to be taken. Shubman Gill has played decently and carried the inning with all maturity in the practice game against Australia-A.

Suggestion gave by Sanjay Manjrekar

With lots of conspiracy regarding the opening slot, Sanjay Manjrekar suggested Cheteshwar Pujara to open for the visitors. Pujara has opened for the team in four tests, and he thinks it could be better option.

He reckons that opening for the team or coming at No.3 spot is not much different conditions and won’t affect teams morale.

“I have batted no3 overseas. You are invariably going in early, facing bowlers with their tails up from ball no.1. Anyone for Pujara opening? To make his life easier? + better chance of not losing a quick wicket and opposition being on top early. Tell me your top 4 next Test,” tweeted by Sanjay Manjrekar.

As an opener Pujara has scored 348 runs in just an ease of five innings which also includes two fifties and a ton. This record is literally amazing and it would be good option as an opener also.
