Sarah Taylor is one of the finest wicket-keeper player from England. Many cricket players praise her for her wicket-keeping skills. Sarah Taylor did a tremendous stumping to dismiss Ellyse Perry during the first ODI of England women versus Australia women.
During the first ODI, 18th over of Australia batting, Natalie Sciver bowled a deliver to outside the leg stump. Ellyse Perry stepped out and tried to hit big but misses the ball and Sarah Taylor pulled off the stump.
“She(Sarah Taylor) is the best wicketkeeper in the world at the moment – male or female,” Gilchrist said.
Ellyse Perry took three wickets and won the player of the match. After winning the player of the match, she said,
“It was a typical Ashes start and it’s nice to get a win under the belt. We bowled incredibly well, Megan at the other end bowled well. Spinners also chipped in for us. In a big series, it was good to make a statement early on. In the past, we’ve done good work bowling first. It’s funny that both batting sides struggled. It was a good toss to win and we started well. She’s (Healy) just striking the ball cleanly and has done so in the past 12-18 months. She played wonderful shots. It will be nice to have a crack on Thursday again. I am a bit surprised to hold this (trophy. She thought Healy would be holding it), we are looking forward to the next game.”
Australia won the first two ODI of the three-match ODI series and took the lead by 2-0. The third ODI of the series will be played tomorrow. Australia can try to clean-sweep the series while England can try to finish the ODI series with a win. after that, England women and Australia women will play a test match.
