The team Chennai Super Kings who is well known for their consistency and the team with three time Champion in the history of IPL. But the 13th edition was not meant for Chennai franchise as the team was the first one to be knocked out of the tournament. As in the presentation ceremony also management has confirmed that they will go to rebuild the team again in the coming auction.
It is also said that to form a new team, the management is going to release most of there players to bid on new players.
MS Dhoni will the skipper of CSK in the IPL-2021. Many fans were thinking that after retirement he could only play IPL-2020 but he has confirmed that he will continue to play IPL and thus it makes him to lead the team again while Youngster Ruturaj Gaikwad can also retained by team as his start wasn’t good but the last three fifties in the match will make him an option for retaining.
Many rumours were circulating that Suresh Raina might not play for CSK anymore after that sudden exit from IPL-2020 with rumours over rift with management but in the press conference, management has declared that Raina will continue to play with CSK.
7-8 players can be released by Chennai Super Kings
With disastrous season of IPL, CSK is going to release there seven to eight players ahead of IPL-2021 to bid on new players. The players can be Harbhajan Singh, Dwayne Bravo, Kedhar Jadhav, Karn Sharma, Imran Tahir and Piyush Chawla.
With the release of these experienced players from the camp of Chennai will lead to financial loss but the release of players depicts that management is more concerned over team combinations and performances.
Right now, CSK is left out with 15 lakhs in their kitty for the mini-auction and with release of these players in the mini auction will make the management to bid more as the wages of these players are quite huge.
